Library Cards for Business Owners

July 11, 2014-

Barrington business owners: did you know that you can get a library card for your local business? With a Barrington Area Library card, you will have access to all of the same library privileges that an adult resident patron receives. This includes remote access to valuable business research resources, reservations for any of our brand-new meeting spaces and media:scape centers, usage of the latest technology in the Digital Studio, MakerLab, and ability to check out e-readers, cameras, and other circulating equipment.

To obtain your Barrington Area Library card, the business owner will need to produce a photo ID and a business lease or something that shows they own or rent the building where the business resides and fill out an application available at the library. The card will be issued in the name of the business for 1 year. These accounts expire annually and may be renewed with proper ID. The library card is not transferrable to family members of the business owner.

For other questions about the business card, please contact the Circulation Department at 847.382.1300 x3
