Library renovation work has begun. Most of the Media Lab equipment and software is still available, but in the public computing area in the first floor Adult Services department. Please ask at the Adult Services Reference Desk for more information.

Create and edit videos, photos, audio files, desktop publications, presentations, and more with our Media Lab equipment. Barrington Area Library card holders can make 2-hour reservations one day in advance by calling 847-382-1300 x3500 or reserve the Media Lab equipment online.

Now you can bring in your old VHS tapes and transfer them to DVD. Make a Media Lab appointment, bring in your VHS tapes and we'll help you get started. Please note, it can take up to 2 hours to transfer about 45 minutes of video, so plan accordingly or use one of our portable hard drives to do the work over multiple sessions.
