Artbots - March 2015

We had an awesome time making artbots - robots that move and create their own art. We used pool noodles for the body and put a motor from an electric toothbrush into the pool noodle. Next, we attached markers for feet, and decorated our artbots!

Check out the video below to see the artbots in action!

The Post-It Project - February 2015

We had so much fun in our Post-It Project program on Tuesday night! Check out these stop-motion animation projects kids created with just post-it notes (and plenty of imagination, of course).

Video Editing - November 2014

Lights, camera, action! During our video editing workshop, we learned about the video making process. Barrington kids storyboarded their films, filmed their scenes, and then edited their video content with the app, Videoshop. Check out the amazing films that were created.

Toontastic - October 2014

We love to share stories at the library, but we also love to make up our own. Toontastic is an app that allows kids to author their own stories, while teaching them how to follow a traditional story arc. The app works with the iPad, iPad Mini, and iPhone. You can learn more about Toontastic here.

Below are the stories made by Barrington Area Library kids in our latest program on October 24th:
