SSGT Elmer A. Bauman

Elmer August Bauman was born June 11, 1910 in Dundee, the son of Fred and Augusta Brandy Bauman.

He married Elizabeth Magee in Barrington on March 22, 1947.

Bauman enlisted in the U. S. Army on January 28, 1942, and served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII as a Staff Sergeant until his honorable discharge on January 2, 1946.

After the war, he worked as a milling machine operator for the H. B. Fuller Company in Palatine.

Staff Sergeant Elmer Bauman died on January 23, 1968 in Elgin, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
